Jaipur Literature Festival : I PRESENTED on January 26th at Darbar Hall in front of an overflowing literary audience. After the panel discussion and book readings what I enjoyed most were the astute and intriguing questions from the audience. These highlighted hidden aspects of Peacock in the Snow from behind its covers. Thank you, Sanjoy K Roy, Namita Gokhale, William Dalrymple for inviting me – for such a valuable experience.
MEETING THE LEGENDS: Who would have imagined that the icons that I grew up reading about, one-day, would be the ones standing next to me to present at the same festival! I also met some of the coolest authors, greatest thinkers of the world here, And the rest were our everyday heroes!
THE SPECIAL AUTHOR EVENTS: took me away to another era of indulgence and decadence at its finest. An evening at the glamorous Rambagh Palace, The Amber Fort dating back a 1000 years, the Nahargarh Fort – we were wined and dined like royalty. The festival music stage came alive every evening with spectacular world musicians.
Jaipur Literature Festival is the greatest literary festival on earth with nearly one million accessing this event over 5 days ( Jan 24-28 2019) From Nobel laureates to local writers and from Man Booker Prize winners to debutant novelists engage into readings, debates, discussions along with the audience at the elegant Diggi Palace in the heart of Rajasthan’s capital.
