Mirror mirror on the wall,
Who is the happiest of us all?
Don’t you care if it’s me?
Don’t you care for pain you see?
When I cry, when I fall
Don’t you care for me at all?
Mirror mirror on the wall, where’s your magic for us all?
When I was young and I asked you,
A girl laughed back, ‘why this ado?’
I struggled and toiled and lost my way
I fell in vice and fell astray
Mirror mirror on the wall, why didn’t you help me at all?
Angry as hell, I threw it high, I wanted it broken, I wanted to cry.
Down it flew into a spell and with it shattered the girl who fell.
She laughed back to say again, happiness comes from within
I gathered her from each splintered piece and lay her to rest, to rest in peace.
The girl who laughed from the pieces that lay
Was the girl who no longer needed to pray
She had found peace, her true best friend
She had found a happiness that her soul had lent
Mirror mirror on the wall,
Who is the happiest of us all?
The girl of the mirror was none other than me
The girl of the mirror was who I used to be
This girl no longer waited, this wise girl knew
The happiest were the ones who spread their wings and flew.
